Join Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment (HACE) and Harvard Alumni for Food and Agriculture for an interactive panel and discussion with leadership from three of the world’s pioneering food companies in the regenerative agriculture space. This event - part of HACE’s Deep-Dive Discussion series - will include a 30-minute panel discussion about the potential and challenges of building regenerative food supply chains, a 15-minute Q&A session with panelists, and an optional 20-minute interactive breakout room discussion for participants who would like to discuss the material in greater depth and meet other event attendees. Non-technical audience members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Regenerative agriculture is a set of agricultural practices - such as rotational grazing and minimal tillage - that seeks to improve, as opposed to degrade, natural landscapes. Regenerative agriculture has attracted interest and enthusiasm in recent years given its potential to mitigate climate change by drawing down carbon from the atmosphere and capturing it in agricultural soils.
To discuss this environmental strategy, we are fortunate to be joined by three expert panelists: Birgit Cameron, the Global Director of Patagonia Provisions; Tina Owens, the Senior Director of Food & Agriculture Impact for Danone North America; and Kate Schaffner, the Global Director for Sustainability for Kellogg.
