James serves as the Community Development Co-Director.
James is an organizational consultant who empowers public, private, and nonprofit clients to realize their creative visions. Whether anchored at the University of Maryland or the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, he has overseen program design and cross-sector partnerships on climate, conservation, diversity and inclusion, and leadership education. James holds an A.B. in urban studies from Harvard College and master’s degrees in conservation biology and environmental policy from the University of Maryland. A proud gay man with roots in the Chesapeake Bay region and Canada, James is excited to help foster a welcoming, inclusive, and energizing spirit of community for HACE members.
